我的日劇時間表 (my own use =P)

Amended List 如下:
So far that's all.

1. Bloody Monday (有始至終都是一種"很想看下一集"的狀態, 最終回更等不及中文字幕版, 看日文原音版 :p 不過我覺得結尾為 sp 或續集或電影留下的尾巴也太刻意吧, 也許因為原著漫畫還沒完結, 改篇起來也不能太過"至此終了"吧!)
2. Innocent Love (很失望的一套, 原來一直期待往後會有 surprise, 結果是大團圓到極點的結局!)
3. Oh! My Girl (最早看完的一套)
Code Blue SP!!! ^_^

Exhibition - The French Revolution
I was inviting my mum and brother to go with me and found out that my brother went there on a Tuesday already - but the museum is actually regularly closed on Tuesdays!!! :P
The venue was surprisingly packed with people and we need to 'wait' and sort-of 'queue' for viewing. We went there in the afternoon and VERY UNLUCKILY there just started a Cantonese Guided Tour. That lady's voice, esp. after going through the mic, was VERY annoying and she had many "um.. um..", "something like that", and even wrong or keep-correcting-names. Steve said she just read out from the paper and obviously she didn't remember it very well by heart :P
There were many kids as well, even babies. Some cries, occasionally screaming but very soon their mouthes were covered by the adults :P, and quite some 'Why?' 'What is this?' questions.
Apart from all these, it was quite a pleasant experience. Although during the Exhibition I heard some murmur saying that those pictures aren't of very good value, I discovered that they were almost all printed on the History book, that probably means, they were the only evidences or historic records of that period of History.
At least, it's quite good a feeling to see the actual painting (even it might be an "after") of young Napolean (I guess almost every History book got that picture :P Young Napolean in front of a waving flag; action like instructing the army to GO)
And the real pictures during late 19th Centuries are quite impressive.
After going to the Exhibition, I went home and fetched my History books.
Oh!!! I was taught some British histories before!!! But I remember none of the class scene - unlike the American Revolutions and even the Ancient Eygpt, I still remember how Ms Chan asked us to draw the America map and how Mr Wong explained us the measuring method in ancient Eygpt.
I was taught how the Pope excommunicated Henry VIII, how Mary I lifeburnt 200+ people, how Elizabeth I became more and more anti-Catholic: Henry VIII, Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Mary Tudor (i.e. Mary I), Edward VI and Elizabeth I were all taught.
Another part of History is the Stuarts (whole one! From James I to Queen Anne, the Commonwealth (Oliver Cromwell) in between and until the German Prince George (i.e. George I)) - I finally vaguely remember what they were when I came across the term "Bill of rights".
And some of the 'Bristish involved' Battles related issues - definitely the famous "Battle of Waterloo" must have been taught! ^^
And, by the underlines and highlights on the textbook, I discovered that I studied 'The Spread of Muslims" and the "Ottoman Empire"/"Byzantine Empire" before :P Also, I was supposed to know who Catherine the Great was.

(God Bless! Yesterday, after I'd left the post here, I went to 2009 Arts Festival's website and very disappointingly, NOTHING is interesting except the Chicago Philharmonic, which is exceptional high in ticket price, and the venue IFC-55 [I don't even know recitalist but I'm very interested in going attending a concert in IFC-55])
"The French Revolutions" Exhibition@Hong Kong Museum of History
I found this when reading others' blogs! Why can't I see the link yesterday on LCSD's webpage?
I am a Science student and have only studied History until Secondary 3; but I just love French History. (and I gradually developed an interest in the Tudor History when reading P&P [I don't know why but that's the fact])
I must go! And let me date mum and my little bro first =P
==============================================
Why do I date mum and my little bro for the exhibition?
Because they will just love it! Hope they haven't been to there =P I should have dated dad too but he is quite busy recently.
Well, until very lately, I think this is a family normal activity: parent to discuss History/Literature/Arts or even Physics/ Mechanics/ Biology events with children! This is my family and I just discovered that we are not the norm :P
My dad is somehow an all-round people; he knows many things (e.g. from academic literature [He knows so much poems and even proses!!! He may not know the whole poem but can read out a few lines] to slangs [most expressions I don't know]) to different extents.
My mum is less all-round (she is not that versatile but concentrates on her interests) but kind of "expert" (among C9s of 'coz) on Karl Marx/Communism and Chinese Contemporary Literature. She claimed that she first read the "Manifesto of the Communist Party" in Primary 4 or 5. (Actually it's not that surprising since my Grandfather is a die-hard supporter of Communism but he taught French at school before WWII.) And she always applies Luxin's lines to daily life and she is the one introduced me to read Charles Dickson.
My little brother is genuiuely a History/Chinese Literature student. I still remember the day when I was despartely studying for my World History exam, my bro came over and looked at my textbook. He pointed to a picture and started telling the story of 巴士底監獄. The picture is 'Place de la Bastille'. A secondary 2 girl despartely starred at her primary 3 younger brother. Is it crazy? How come a primary 3 boy knows about the French Revolution?
(umum.... ex-President Chen may really need to re-study History :P)
That is not the most "scaring" thing. My little bro finished the 4 great classical novels (this is the Translation from wiki) before Primary school! And I know he then read and finished the original classical language version too! And, he is finding the original and 柏楊版資治通鑑!!!!
Just last few weeks, my dad and bro arrived the restaurant very late for lunch and reason was: we are watching TV on 四庫全書 ^_^
That's why I have to go with them.
==============================
For the French Revolutions, I still know something about it. It is within our Curriculum.
I had World History and Chinese History as two different subjects at Secondary School until Secondary 3; I still remember the Curriculum for World History:
Secondary 1: Ancient Egypt (This is a diasaster and I tried my first "FAIL" :P), Ancient Greece, the Rise and Fall of Rome Empire
Secondary 2: Medieval Times, The Dark Ages, The Crusades, The Renaissance, The Enlightenment, Louis XIV to Napolean, the French Revolutions,
Secondary 3: the Industrial Revolution, American History!!!! Independent Oath!!! 4 July, Mayflower, etc. And we needed to remember by heart all the states and their locations and even the rivers!
So basically we don't know the British History (e.g. the 'Tudor' were being "told" during English/Library lesson through those BBC programmes). And it's almost all French! =P
Probably my teacher loves French History too! No - just kidding. That's probably 'coz our HKCE and HKAL will do Japan and Asia (if I did not remember wrongly); and the English Literature class will touch on British History. So they need to teach Europe History in lower forms.
It is at least different from my bro's; he had to study Cold War as well.
For Chinese History, I can still study up to 4 June but as 'Tiananmen incident'. And we need to study the Syllabus B as well - that is the "Daily Life in Imperial China" <-- I took a course exactly the same title in Year 1 and the first time discovered that Chinese History could be very interesting as well. :P

Targets for 2009
The first target in 2009 is to list out all the books I've bought and share my 'Reader's Report' :) Together with this, I hope to finish all the books by Easter (the progress is very optimistic; I've already finished 2 out of 7 [the eighth book is a grammar dictionary =P])
Another target I suddenly (really suddenly) want to achieve is to visit all the museums in Hong Kong, which I haven't been to. So far I should have been to all the museums in "city" (except the Maritime one :P) but I'm really worrying about those in remote areas. To do so, I will first list out all the museums in Hong Kong ^_^
Here's a list from LCSD website:
LCSD Museums
New Territories
1. Hong Kong Heritage Museum <-- I have visited there once when it first opened.
2. Hong Kong Railway Museum <-- I thought I have been to there during those "Primary School Outing".
3. Ping Shan Tang Clan Gallery cum Heritage Trail Visitors Centre <-- I know this one long before but have never been to there, even adjacent areas :P
4. Sam Tung Uk Museum <-- I must have been to there via some school outings or learning tours.
5.Sheung Yiu Folk Museum <-- Well, in fact, I've never been to the "REAL" New Territories :P
Hong Kong & Kowloon
6. Hong Kong Film Archive <-- I love going to Film Museums! I've been to the one in Kaohsiung as well!!!!
7. Hong Kong Museum of Art <-- It seems to me a must to go there regularly :P
8. Flagstaff House Museum of Teaware <-- No reason haven't been there while the location is so convenient!
9. Hong Kong Museum of History <-- I think I went there when it first opened and ever since then, I've been there a few times with my parents and brother.
10. Law Uk Folk Museum <-- Umum... I think I mixed up all the "xx Uk" museums :P I don't know exactly which one or which few ones I've been to during Primary School days.
11. Lei Cheng Uk Han Tomb Museum <-- I don't remember I've been to this one :P
12. Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence <-- This is my target! Last time when I arrived there, it was closed ><
13. Hong Kong Science Museum <-- Once upon a time, it was an excellent place to visit! However, after visiting other places' Science Museums, I've totally lost my interest here.
14. Hong Kong Space Museum <-- I still love to go watching movies!
15. Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre <-- I went there once for my Art homework; hope to visit there again!
15. The Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre <-- I've totally forgot this one! I haven't been to Kowloon Park for ages though I wanted to pay it a visit when it first opened in 2005 :P
16. The Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum <-- I was "brought" to the museum by my father; frankly, the museum is not big at all but much to see :P I spent almost 30 min. in reading one of the letters to Dr Sun and we watched a mini-movie there. I think we are the few who spent more than 3 hours there!!! :P
17. Fireboat Alexander Grantham Exhibition Gallery <--Oh!!! I've mixed this up with the Coastal Defense museum :P but how about the Maritime one? Anyway, they are my targets this year!
Other Museums
18. Art Museum, the Chinese University of Hong Kong <-- I was a CUHK student but I don't think I've been to there.
19. Hong Kong Correctional Service Museum <-- When has it been set up? Is this the one we called "Stanley Prison" during the Primary School outing?
20. Hong Kong Maritime Museum <-- Oh!! This one is in Stanley! Then I've been to there la! ^_^ Maybe I can pay a visit again to refresh my memories.
21. Hong Kong Planning and Infrastructure Exhibition Gallery <-- Oh, why we have such "interesting" museum? Will there be anybody really interested in Planning?
22. Lions Nature Education Centre <-- Of 'coz, school children (for our generation =D) must have visited this.
23. Museum of Ethnology <-- well, how about having meal at the restuarant nearby? OK - let's make it my target this year!
24. Museum of Medical Sciences <-- Dunno why this must be an item on the outing list and somehow high school kids are just addicted to the word "Medical" and must have paid a visit there.
24. Po Leung Kuk Museum <-- I've never been to Po Leung Kuk so I must not have visited this.
25. Police Museum <-- In fact I quite enjoy the visit there; I found it very lovely :P
26. Racing Museum <-- No idea what it is!! I dunno Jockey Club has a museum!
27. Tung Wah Museum <-- No idea x 2: Target!
28. University Museum and Art Gallery, the University of Hong Kong <-- Well, I've only been to the Entrance :P
29. Exchange Exhibition Hall <-- Oh! I just know TODAY we can visit there!!!!
Oh! HK also has 29 museums on LCSD official list! And in fact many other Exhibitions Venues are available such as those Private Galleries, Artists Workshops, and of 'coz the different Universities.
Also, the building heritages and other living "museums" may be of more learning/appreciating values and interests.
Well, it must be a fruitful year in 2009 :) Let's have a thorough plan.

1. 《musik》 December
http://www.books.com.tw/exep/prod/magazine/mag_retail.php?item=R030015002
2. 《pen 》(日文文藝設計雜誌) 1 December
http://www.books.com.tw/exep/prod/magazine/mag_retail.php?item=J030013294
http://www.books.com.tw/exep/prod/booksfile.php?item=0010421976

4. 《Shantaram》

Last but not least

Made In Japan & Bottled Water

Blogs arrangement
I've now posted the link of my Blog Archive in 2002 and 2003, while I still wrote my own HTML codes every time I updated my blog =P
I decided to keep these two links as it reflected my own effect of writing it; but not just posting entries.
For the CGI one I've used for about half an year in 200?, I'd love to keep the original version. Yet it only logs 10 posts at a time and I've already done backup from time to time to my own PC. Now, I would like to post them all back to the net but probably in plain HTML or on one of this ready-use platform - or to integrate with this blog. I'm not sure yet.
Other blogs are 'thematic' - e.g. literature, photgraphy, travelling and Arts. The travelling blog here are co-authored with other friends and thus entries have already repeated in our own blogs.
For those blogs titled 'abandoned' on the left sidebar, I'll either integrate them into this or integrate them into the new one mentioned above for the ex-CGI posts.
When doing so, this allows me to do some revision on myself; e.g. I've just read a few posts on the Blog written in 2006 for my Taiwan friends. This reminds me of what I was thinking then and what my goal was then. I felt pretty astrayed now. This is good, I finally remember what I have to do.
Still the good old saying told by all moms when they gave you a thick beautiful diary to write on: writing diaries will not only enhance your writing skills and most importantly, it is a record of your life! You will need this when you grow older and gradually be confused by yourself. Your diary can lead you the way out from all the swirls in life and lead you to the light!
That's what my mom told me and I found it very ture!
P.S. My mom always writes to us; letting us have a 'record' to refresh our minds!

有時候也會因應對象國籍不同而有所變化,譬如說,對日本客人,我會多穿 one piece shirt dress 或必較華麗的 shirt and skirt 組合;對法國人,我一定不會忘了我的 Dior addict =p 還有,對 native English speakers 的話,我會多穿 menswear pants 或 pencil skirt 配 blouse 或 monotone slim fit cotton tee AND the must - Silhouettes!!! But I can't walk on a really thin one; so I'll find a pump with "thinner heels" :P
全都是我必選的冬天 all time items!

Mary Jane and Oxford
ONE PIECE (JUST ABOVE KNEE) OR PENCIL SKIRT (HIGH WAIST 更好) 也很好看。

Originally I planned (and told my boss) to leave a bit earlier for the preparation but works were ‘flushing in’ and I could only leave at around 6:15pm. I rushed back home and took a shower and had my dinner.
Final check on all my suitcases and handbags (yes, it has an 's') and passport etc, we set off to the Airport at 10pm and took the 10:30pm bus.
We arrived at the Airport at about 11:30pm and it was so crowded at the check-in counter…. Aisle. It was the Qatar Airline, probably for transfer in Doha to Heathrow.
As I’ve already checked in when I got the tickets in early July, it was quite ‘smooth’. Silly me forget to note down Juli’s japan mobile and we went to Mix for free internet connection (damn that the Pacific Coffee were all occupied). After that, it was already time for going through the customs and boarding.
Burger King was closed but they were still selling foods! Kakin bought a set meal and we shared the chips. I was so thirsty and afraid that no water would be served on plane (it said only breakfast would be served), I bought a big cup of NestTea.
The Airport was silent and peaceful ‘as always’ but the gates were very crowded. Besides our plane, there was another one to Japan (similar time), the Qatar one (a bit earlier) and one for Korea (not Icheon, not Busan but a place called 清洲; a bit later at ~3:00AM!!!)Our flight was scheduled at 01:45 and the boarding time was 01:20. We all went on board at about 01:30 and started our journey!
As mentioned before, I’d checked the meal being provided and thus not surprised by serving breakfast. Rather, it’s a little surprise to have drinks served before “sleep”. The ‘go’ trip was good; lights turned off and the gal right at my back was using her laptop silently and producing no light pollution. However, after serving the drinks, it was already 0300 HK time and that’s 0400 Tokyo time. The light turned on again at around 0500 Tokyo time for serving breakfast!!!
I managed to sleep for a bit more (fell asleep once buckled up and woke for the drinks =P after woke up, I forced myself to sleep again before the breakfast was served and had a nap though a few minutes only before landed) and was not too tired when got off the plane.
It was almost 07:30 when we went out to the Arrival Hall of Tokyo International Airport (i.e. Haneda International Terminal). It was a very small terminal and once we stepped out the ‘exit’, we saw the ANA Sky Porter service counter and grabbed our mobile phones. Right after this, we rushed to the Bus Terminal No. 3 (with the help of the Airport Assistant) for the free shuttle to Domestic Terminal 2.
Haneda Airport is best known as the Big Bird ‘coz the comics and Terminal 2 is “fully equipped” with shops and restaurants. It is very nice! And, similar to the Manila Airport #2 (I name it so), Domestic Terminal 2 is dedicated to ANA Group (i.e. for airlines under the ANA Group).Despite the prior knowledge of Japan Domestic Flight Check-in process, we could not find the correct counter at first. After ‘wasting’ some time, we managed to find the correct counter, counter no. 14, and queued for check-in. Things were smooth, and the staff even asked if our final destination was alright as she’d noticed that we would be leaving Hokkaido from Wakkanai!
Thing went not that smooth when dropping the baggages at another counter! They said one must drop one’s baggage at one counter. Even you’re travelling together, you can’t calculate together. You must tell them, A has one baggage; B has two baggages and C has one baggage. Well, I think this is not only stubborn but a bit stupid. Anyway, we got all our baggages checked in.
The domestic flight system in Japan is really interesting. First of all, you have to buy the ticket and check in (at the same counter). They will then print you a physical ticket. You need this ticket to drop your baggage and once you’ve dropped your baggage, remember to keep the baggage tickets. They will check the baggage ticket at the exit of your destination airport.
After dropping your baggage, you can go ahead to the x-ray and there, you will use the digital mark on the ticket to print your ‘passenger card’. And we found out that, you can bring water or bottles on to domestic plane, they have a special checking machine for bottles. :P You put your bottle onto the machine (like a mould for it) and it will have different lights turned on. After going through the x-ray and getting your ‘passenger card’, you can proceed to the boarding gate. In front of the gate, you will need the passenger card digital mark to print out your actual boarding pass!!!!!
The plane we got on to Sapporo was a 747!!!Double-decked and decorated in Pikkachu animation character!!! It was so lovely! =D And surprisingly, the English of both captain and flight attendants were much better than the international flight we got on from HK to Tokyo!
And we have nuts and juices too! ^_^
The flight was delayed for about 30 minutes without any concrete announcement as if it was not a big deal.
I slept for almost 2 hours more and it was so refreshing! We finally arrived Sapporo JR station at around 12:00noon and went straight to the Tourist Information Centre.
We booked the bus from Asahikawa to Wakkanai; we bought the JR pass for Furano and Otaru and got relevant information and discount coupons! The first $ spent in Sapporo (except travelling) was for the beautiful cakes!

We had cheese cakes, chocolate cakes and milk and cameral pudding. With bulky luggages and the cakes, we spent almost 10 minutes to the Hotel which is usually a 5-min.-walk. We checked in the Hotel at about 1:30pm and went out at around 2:00 or 2:30pm. :P
The digital thermometer showed that it was 26C and 23C later, but it felt like 20C! We had a late lunch in the Ramen Republic, a well-known and well-introduced place in all kinds of tourist guide book.

Kaman had a very thick soup curry ramen and both Kakin and I had salt ramen. I do think it was very nice despite the complaints from Kaman regarding the thickness of the soup curry and the mismatch of curry and ramen. ^_^
After fulfilling our stomach, we went to the souvenir shop nearby. There are so many ramen related stuff! But we had ice-sticks! =P very nice! And this started Kaman’s “ice-cream tour”.
We had planned to walk around Sapporo city for the distinctive old buildings but it was raining quite heavily in a sudden. We ‘sightsaw’ a few shops in the Department store and the city view from the windows. When the rain seemed to be pouring less vigorous, we went out for a proper walk.
Seibu in Sapporo was indeed very beautiful! I mean the building and the bus terminus nearby. We took a few pics and went ahead.

We reached the “Ice-cream Parlor” in about 5 min. and was really shocked by the Super Parfait!
I’d love to buy the baunkuchen but finally missed that due to “time constraint”. I should have bought one when I first saw it.

Then it’s raining again and we turned 90C right back to the Old City Office (北海道道廳) then hotel.
The old building is beautiful and I just love this kind of buildings or I should say, buildings of this time period.
Weather wasn’t too good on the first day and probably my companions were too tired (they couldn’t have slept properly the night before), we went back to the Hotel for a rough rest and went out for dinner again in late 5pm.
After resting for some time, we decided to go to the famous shopping streets: 狸小路. We walked along the main street and passed the TV tower.

We reached the streets at early evening and started our ‘shopping’ again! We were first attracted by the fruit shop and just wanted so much to buy the melon and peaches! (and we did at last =P)
Shops were like those in Osaka or else ‘shopping streets’, not too special indeed, but still, shopped for some time. Finally we were too tired to go ahead to the Susukino area or go back to the JR Tower area for dinner and chose one ramen restaurant along the street!
Once going inside, we found a J-walker magazine cut on the wall and Kaman ordered what recommended in the article.
I still went for the salt ramen. Both Kaman and Kakin ordered similar soup for the ramen and both commented too salty. Mine was very good!!!! =D
Taste just fit mine and the ramen was appropriate too, not too thick and not too thin, neither too hard nor too soft! Later, I found out that it was a very famous ramen restaurant. It was also recommended in those guide books we obtained in the Tourist Information Center (in Japanese) and I checked my Japanese magazine later in HK, it recommended the shop as well. Probably it's very popular among native Japanese.
Our very long travel day was ended with a medium size of melon, four peaches and one big apple bringing back Hotel. All fruits were too great to be described in black and white; you can only experience it with your taste buds and nose. :P
P.S. I'll post the link of Kaman's Photo Album and other pics taken later. ^_^
但 the next day mushroom had already headed for Bangkok and not until she came back, I was in the Philippines already.
It was like ‘can we finally manage all stuff? What shall we do next then?’ but anyway, I must go to the Philippines and she to Bangkok, so just ‘let it be’. =P
15 June 2008
I was finally back from the Philippines and was too busy at work and didn’t find mushroom at all. Not until end June when I finished the first draft of the Report.
End June to early July
Just about 2 weeks left before our departure date and we just had a very preliminary and simple plan, probably mushroom had more for herself. It was quite ‘scary’ in fact as we didn’t made up our mind by that time and still wanted to go to say 10 places in 3 hours. Impossible.
13 July 2008
Haven’t packed anything yet and in fact the final route was not even worked out. Just based on the discussion with mushroom, based on the simple plan and route, I ‘imagined’ what I needed to bring for the trip and tried to work out my ‘shopping plan’ before that.
15 July 2008
A final shopping with Kakin in CWB and packed all basic items into my ‘soft’ suitcase. Those daily items had also been packed into ‘portable convenient bags’ together with my ‘soft’ suitcase; in about an hour, I’ve finished my packing! Gradually, I think I become very pro in packing now :)
16 July 2008
Final checking and packing into my suitcase and a final reading on the Japanese travel magazine.

I'm back from Japan!

Grateful that I was back
Yesterday when watching the news, I expected the typhoon was hitting the 'center and southern' Philippines and was not at all "worried" about our colleague. Even last night, when I was sending an email to our client, I didn't remember to send my regards :P

Candice is back from the Philippines!!! (reposted here)
I was planning to Thailand with Ms. Mushroom but finally she went "alone" with her colleagues and I stayed in Hong Kong. Then suddenly, I got a Project in the Philippines! So I've been to the Philippines on business for almost a week!

很不喜歡 active x (reposted here)
Change a Spring template!
been working on the codes for the background other than the template available here... but the progress is extraordinary slow probably 'coz i WAS addicted to blogging but not now :P
Spring's come and it's time to change a more lively background! So let's do it first! ^_^

The Other Boleyn Girl
Not sure what moved them to the cinema but probably the history of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn.
It's always hard to adapt a novel into playscript especially when it is a piece of 'history-related' work that you cannot omit certain historical reference, e.g. the fate of Mary Boleyn and William Stafford. The appearance of William Stafford is neither faithful to the novel nor the history (so far as I remembered, I didn't verify this). However, as the film has to have the role of Mr. Stafford for telling Mary's ending, it can only be created like this or it will introduce another branch of the story.
After watching the film, I had to admire even more the scriptwriter of Harry Potter and LOR. You will have no problem in following the story if you haven't read the book before; even if you have, you can still follow the adapted story and will not found uncomfortable.
However for this film, I found it quite difficult to trace and the texture and tension is not fully developed. Tim said he was totally confused and didn't really understand the "sudden" changes of the King or the sisters. :P
To treat it as a pure imaginery story, it is still hard to comprehend why the King will rather risk his reputation by pulling down the Queen and to marry Anne. The relationship between the two seemed not well developed and it is NOT persuasive enough. Oppositely the line between Stafford and Mary seemed better though it was totally different from the book. Maybe just like what I've done for my Translation course, it may be a better approach to rewrite the dubbing script when it is hardly self-explanatory in the target langauge. Here, the target language is "visual film within 2 hours" and the source langauge is "written book of 2 inches", this 'vertical' translation may best be done by "Rewrite in an acceptable sense" than "Omission". Omission will leave blanks to the story.
About the casting, Tim said he couldn't recognise Natalie Portman, dunno if this is a sign of good performance but at least it is a good try I would say.
For Scarlett Johansson, I really can't see Mary in her. Maybe the Scarlett in "Lost in Translation" fits more but not today's Scarlett.
George and Jane Parker's roles are quite eye-catching to me. Jane Parker is vivid!! And I love George's crying scene in prison and the scene he said NO to his marriage to Jane Parker; watch out his eyes. :P
One remaining eye-catching role to me is Stafford. I've never imagined Stafford like this but I like the way he looked at Mary, not really staring but looking into hers with his own deep thought and heart. Excellent! And only a simple look or glimpse, their line is vividly described :P
I really can't relate this Henry VIII to Eric Bana. This Henry looks more charming and younger than the actual Bana. This is my opinion.
So far it is a bit disappointed to be honest but I know it is hard to transform 2 inches to 2 hours. And now, I'd like to have a look at the BBC TV version and see if it's worth to buying it.

I'm back again
Last time I left here... 'coz only a few friends will come here but many of them will check the 'star'. At the beginning, I would post the link here for my friends to come whenever they clicked the 'star'. But then it seems a bit time wasting. So... I gave up here and update my entries in the msn space directly.
However, it's too frustrating that their server's not stable at all. Sometimes cannot load pages, other times cannot publish properly! Also, the photo embedded function is not at all friendly to me. ><
So I'm back. :P But I've bought a domain too and webhosting service too... so I may try hosting my blog later! ^_^
Anyway, this is to tell... I'm back.

Sivananda Yoga
Bought a Yoga magazine yesterday for mum; read it together last evening...
Mum liked very much as it got all "schools" of Yoga and more importantly it got quite some contents on "mind/self learning"...
This raised my curiosity to check actually which "school" of Yoga I am learning? Though the very foundamental issue is "e
Checked the 'textbook' our master ordered for us... it is a direct publication from the Divine Life Society...
This "school" of Yoga is collectively known as 'Sivananda Yoga', but ours is a bit different as our Master's Master was student direct of Swami Sivananda himself instead of his disciple who "established" Sivananda Yoga. But our Master has also been advised by the Swami who set up the Sivananda Yoga. Complicated... and that's why there's no obsessive need to persist... Our Yoga is not just an exercise but indeed a belief and self training.
Changed this blog's tagline, extracted from articles written by our BIG Master!
Good intentions alone will not do. They must be backed up by good actions. <-- very meaningful and I should remember it always! ^_^

Forever Love Forever LoveForever Love

I will remember him...
My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. <-- borrowed from Mel Gibson... Wordless... but I definitely will miss him.* * *After checking my hotmail, at an earlier time than usual, this news caught my eye on the MSN page. It was like: No kidding... Joke again?Lucikly today, with all the 'rooms' remain unlit (meaning ppl inside should be out), we are more relaxed. I clicked into the link and started reading the news.Oh My God! It seems not kidding! How Come?! I just shopped around HMV last night and struggled if I should buy a DVD of 'The Brothers Grimm' for... didn't know why just for having it at home. And I still can't find the 'Candy' locally... * * *I just noticed that... I watched quite a lot of his movies... The % is quite close to that of Leonardo... I must be loving his acting....
May his soul rest in peace...

I'm back
'can@ xxx' and 'I'm back' - these have been my MSN nickname and subtitle for the recent half year!
Before changing to this company, I knew that they concentrated their business in Hong Kong or occasionally Korea! For other European or Middle East jobs, they just provide support and thus, I do not expect to travel frequent on business, unlike my previous job which I had to go to Taiwan at least bimonthly and sometimes once a month!
Yet life is always fate! After entering this company, I've been to five business trips in 18 months time. It isn't that shocking for normal circumstances even not comparing to my previous job but it's already too surprised when compared with my fellow colleagues. Last year, I went to Beijing for a training and this started my 'travelling' life in this company.
Unlike the previous company, instead of Taiwan, this year, I've been to Shanghai twice, London once and even to Japan! That was the greatest yet my most unwilling trip to Japan since the timing was not good at all. And it was so far the hardest business trip! Worked until late, had dinner at midnight! After work, still need to finish my homework so stayed up late until very early morning! Slept for only 3 hours and got up for a new day! Yet it's quite pleasant to meet some helpful guys.
And the two trips to Shanghai just awoke me from my dream about shanghai like breaking the bubble we played when we were young. along with its fast pacing development the contrast between, not necessarily the rich and the poor, but the modern western lifestyle and the still a bit backward 'chinese' lifestyle is too obvious! the bund is too bustling and just one street behind it, there's like a dark city. I'd rather go to the times square, the shopping malls, the Xintiandi and places like these instead. placing yourself in these places won't make you too sad 'coz it's really a bit like Manhattan in a certain sense. even better feeling than in hk.. or just keep yourself in the 'star' hotels like the Marriot and Raddison I stayed.
London's always like another home for many hk-ers since we have soooo many friends and relatvies and even family members there. went there for a training, in a hotel near our head office but still haven't been to our office. :P met a lot of interesting fellow colleagues and knew more about other companies within our group. thanks for the ride offered by a helpful guy.
the eurostar now departs from the King's Cross and it makes my 'usual' train home docked at platform far away :P need to pass through the platform 9 3/4 to get there... :P weekend didn't go out to London but to nearby town with bigger and more shopping malls - Welwyn Garden City.
besides these business trip, i went to taiwan. (not kidding, i really went to Taipei and Yilan with kakin, wendy and janet [in taipei for one whole day and one evening]) This is like our annual trip! :P just noticed that since the 03 trip to taipei, we've been to korea in 04, london & paris in 06. and possibly macau in 05.
busy working life these few months, ot ot and ot.....
busy stuyding life this semester... every week an assignment... a 4000 words translation... two presentations.. and term paper...
these were wht i did duirng this 4 and a half months.
just received an email from our MD attaching a memo from our Chairman in the head office titled 'China Initiatives'... well... foreseeable more frequent China trips.. >< why isn't it Asia? so i may be able to go to Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, etc. interesting places?! anyway, let's see how it goes.
christmas' coming and i'd really like to go outsdie to play!!!! but i'm running out of $$....
korea... i started to miss this country...
thailand... stronger and stronger motive to go....
so far these are the two places i really wanna go in near future..
anyone of you interesting to join me?

Secret
TRAILER: http://moov.netvigator.com/music/static/index.jsp?pageName=0707_jay
Official Website: http://www.sonypictures.com.tw/movie/secret/
WALTZ,PROFESSOR POLA (She's a Professor of Music in Piano!!!)

I finished another novel...
I finished 2 books in 2 days; be more exactly it is 2 nites. Great!
Good books... but all in Chinese or again, to be more exact, Taiwan Chinese. Fun and funny. It's fun to read as it's quite funny and some characters just appear too stupid. The way of writing is fun too! Like experimental cinema, total off track the mainstream or should I say Classic Literature? I don't think it should be categorised as Leisure Reading though it should have been planned to serve that purpose.
In the Preface, the author said, 'You will have more fun if you treat it as a Sci-fi. But all in all, it is in fact not a Sci-fi.' So I read it as a story happening in our Time dimension but probably in a different Space dimension. Don't know if my 'strategy' is working out properly or if it is in fact not a Sci-fi at all, I managed to understand the story quite well. Oh! Another reason maybe those 'Electromagnetic Waves' mentioned in the story! Remember my Major? In fact, that's not that important in the story as I interpret but I just... keep thinking about that :P
So indeed... I DO THINK that is possible. It is not merely a Sci-fi; it based on workable theories and... in fact... I thought about that before! :P Can we alter our EM brain signals externally to change our minds? Or can our EM brain signals transmit direct through air to action? This is done by MIT already. Their team has developed a method to "switch on the light" by thinking only. Can we apply external force to stimulate a "Spike" (action potential)? I think there's something similar... The TENS should be an action potential simulation theraphy.
Alright... in fact that is somehow a "Sociology + Philosophy" novel, nothing about Sci-fi. It is a story about a Homophobic Boy. I would read this simply because it is recommended by Sandee Chan and Soda Green's 'TsinFeng'. :P
Anyways, after finishing the story, I think the Patrogonist's too homophobic that he has serious mental problems. It's sad and I guess that's the THEME of the book.
Also, a PHOBIA is more frightening than a trauma and always will lead to a trauma. Though this is not exactly about the book (but related), it is the only sentence I want to share in these few weeks.

DRAFTED ON 15 June
又"fee lee fat let"...
I'm sick again
I'm sick again... Long time haven't cried so "seriously" in the Clinic... :P it's really painful... doctor!
mum's taking care of my aunt who is currently in hospital... so it's time for me to learn how to take care of myself...
but then when every thing seems alrite... my stomach is not feeling well after lunch... like hammers hammering my stomach wall... i'm so sad now...
and... can i have a break? my energy bar is currently in red ... alerting by flashing and alarming inside... it's so noisy that i can't ignore it anymore... how i can do? i need... at least to restore it up to the yellow range... :P will the holiday next week help? Hoping so!!
i've already re-watched 4 taiwanese dramas and in the mid- of the 5th one within June... n i watched 1 movie too... see how serious i am this time? (well... i think in fact it should be of "mild" level :P 'coz i'm feeling peaceful) i'm still finding this time's root cause... but not yet concluded... a few options to think abt... 1) health issues [probably not; i dun think i was that worried] 2) fear abt disappearing [yes... n i think it deals with another deep root cause] 3) disappointment after vacation [i think this triggered!] so i think i need to plan myself something more meaningful to get out of this whirlpool... but what?

Drinks
Plaza~
MOS burger~
點知間勁好食既 la belotta (spelling 唔 confirmed :p) "closed on monday"... Afternoon Tea Café~
